🐍 Here’s how I snaked 60 Yorkshire GCs into believing I’d send them a mug.

In classic Peter Daniels fashion, I snaked 🐍 all you lovely GCs attending Leeds last week, by asking people to take the water taxi to get to the event (which takes you from Leeds station to the Royal Armouries venue). And if you did so, you were to send me a selfie to prove it, and I’d send you a Workgroup-branded mug in the post.However - and here comes the snaking - I was soon made aware that the water taxis didn’t start while 10am! One whole hour after the start of the conference! 🤦 So big shout to Julia, Kristel, Erica and Amanda for trying all the same, pictured first below 👇(and if anyone else is owed a mug, please demand this of me!)

The whole point for me of this event is to get Yorkshire (and the Northeast!) GCs together, and build a proper legal hub around Leeds. Every other of these GC events is always in London, so the more and more we do of these, the more we can build a proper community up here.So with that in mind, I’m planning 2 of these events a year - in 2025 that will be in April and October - as well as some GC socials. I’m starting with an Xmas after-work social 🎅 on 19th December at Brabners’ office in Leeds, so email me (Peter) here to join us. There’ll be comedy, chemistry, and even some magic! 🪄
